ARTILLERY from Copenhagen, Denmark is one of the oldest Thrash Metal, Speed Metal bands (active since 1982) and with the „X“ the band presents their eleventh full album. Yes of course the wild times of the bands´ adolescence are over, „X“ is not as brutal raging as for example their „Fear Of Tomorrow“ (1985) album or their masterpiece „Terror Squad“ (1987), but the band still knows how to write solid, sometimes faster, Thrash Metal, Speed Metal songs, in these modern times the Heavy Metal influences are way bigger than before and of course melodic parts appear more often, but you have to respect that some of the band members are not twenty anymore. Over all „X“ is a great album ands every ARTILLERY fan will love it, others should try it out.
