The band AUTOPSY was formed in 1987 in San Francisco, USA, Chris Reifert, the ex-drummer of DEATH, he also does the vocals for AUTOPSY, recruited guitarists Chris Reifert, Danny Coralles and bassist Ken Sovari to create a brutal Death Metal beast. From the beginning till now AUTOPSY played raw and mangy Death Metal in the vein of DEATH, NECROPHAGIA, POSSESSED, … , the bands´ strongest periods are during their doomy midtempo parts, but AUTOPSY also manages to do fast, raging stuff and all the time Chris Reiferts fucked up „vokills“ create an atmosphere of apocalypse and final destruction. Yes there are other Death Metal bands with higher technical skills, but without doubt AUTOPSY is amongst the most brutal ones.

The first edition of „Macabre Eternal“ also was released on PEACEVILLE RECORDS and saw the light of day in the year 2011.

This double LP comes on Black vinyl housed in a nice full-coloured gatefold sleeve.
