BRUT is a D.I.Y. Hardcore, Punk band coming from Switzerland formed by ex-members of the Crust, Punk act CWILL. BRUT is very metallic, dark melodic but less crusty than CWILL, their songs are faster, brutal and very, very aggressive, the main vocals are done by a woman but she gets support from the guitarist, who also sings some parts of the songs, the pissed off female screams perfectly work together with the deep male voice. It´s cool to see that they´re still are unknown but great bands in this Hardcore world, it´s always a pleasure to search for that kind of stuff and BRUT is a perfect proof that the D.I.Y. Punk and Hardcore scene still is NOT dead.
„Footsteps“ is a real good release, eight excellent tracks pressed on two 7″ EP´s that are housed in sweet, coloured gatefold sleeve. Oh yes the EP´s come on „normal“ Black vinyl.
