CORROSION OF CONFORMITY was formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA by bassist and vocalist Mike Dean, guitarist Woody Weatherman, drummer Reed Mullin, and singer Benji Shelton in 1982. They were influenced by Heavy Metal bands like BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, SCORPIONS and JUDAS PRIEST as well as by Hardcore groups like BLACK FLAG, BAD BRAINS, CIRCLE CIRKS, MINOR THREAT, DISCHARGE and GERMS. In 1987, two years after their full album „Animosity“, C.O.C. recruited Simon Bob Sinister after the breakup of their fellow CAROLINA band and DEATH RECORDS labelmates UGLY AMERICANS. The band´s 1987 release „Technocracy“ features the hectic Crossover, Thrash musicianship of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY with a cleaner vocal style than they had in the past.
 
In the year 1987 DEATH RECORDS from the USA did the first, original pressing of this album.
 
Limited edition of 300 numbered copies on Blackberry Marbled vinyl, this LP is housed in a full-coloured LP pocket cover and comes with eight paged booklet in LP size and mp3 download card. This 40 Years of C.O.C. Anniversary Edition comes with new vinyl master and four bonus tracks.
