In 2000, very shortly after the release of „Concrete And Steel“, FROM ASHES RISE from the U.S.A. returned with „Silence“. Even though this LP followed soon after their debut, „Silence“ found the band with a more focused approach in the studio and complex songwriting formula, expanding on the metallic crusty Hardcore they were already known for. Now, the band is looked back upon with the same reverie as bands like TRAGEDY, TOTALITÄR, … , as some of the most important contributors to the genre.
 
The original pressing of this album (the second release of the band) was released in the year 2000 on the US label WITCHHUNT.
 
This re-edition comes on Black vinyl, the LP is housed in a „Stoughton printing“ single pocket tip-on jacket, a lyric sheet is included and additional liner-notes are printed on the OBI strip. All songs got remastered by Brad Boatright himself.
