Two years after their album „Miserably Ever After“ (1996) Sludgelords GRIEF from Boston, USA were back with another strike called „Torso“, seven new songs (recorded 10 / 1997 at Supersonic Studios, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA) like „I Hate Lucy“, „Polluted“, To Serve & Neglect“, … will prepare you for the apocalypse, the downfall of mankind in the most evil way: after listening to this album a painful, slow-motion death is quaranteed. Back in the Nineties acts like GRIEF, EYEHATEGOD, 16, CATTLEPRESS, DSYTOPIA, … were the „Top Of The Pops“ in the uprising Sludge, Doom Metal, Sludge Metal scene and paved the way for many later musicians, bands that wanted to play the slow and evil sound.
The original version of „Torso“ came out in the year 1998 on the US label PESSIMISER RECORDS.
Official re-issue, this double LP is pressed on Translucent Subtle Green vinyl („Exclusive Distributors Edition“ limited to 450 copies), the vinyl is housed in a Coloured deluxe 7 mm – spine gatefold sleeve printed on reverse cardboard.
