KREMLIN KORPS were a short lived Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia, USA band (with female vocals) that played with a lot of Hardcore, Punk legends (SCREAM, UK SUBS, TOXIC REASONS, SUBHUMANS, CRUCIFIX, GOVERNMENT ISSUE, D.R.I., WHITE CROSS, ADRENALIN O.D., JERRY´S KIDS, C.O.C., … ).
At a time when female-fronted Hardcore bands were nearly unheard of, Stacey´s powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence set them apart, but it was the band’s name – KREMLIN KORPS – that really stirred the pot. With Cold War paranoia in full swing and Reagan´s America in a flag-waving frenzy, the name alone was enough to get them labeled “commie pinko faggots” by some regional critics. The band wore the insult like a badge of honor, doubling down with their 1984 EP „Moscow´s Revenge“ (their one and only vinyl output), a middle finger to the era’s chest-thumping nationalism.
Originally released in the year 1984 on US label SPEED OF SOUND RECORDS.
Official re-issue pressed on Black vinyl, the vinyl comes in a revamped foldout cover with band biography, photos, lyrics and flyers.
