MALATESTA are a Punk, Crust band from Munich, Germany that began in 2009 and changed vocalists in the year 2018. They already released the „Licht“ 7″ EP (2012), the „S/T“ cassette (2019), their debut album called „Unter Tage“ on ALERTA ANTIFASCISTA from Germany (2022) and after a break of nearly four years it´s time for a new output. Heavily inspired by Swedens and Portlands, USA dark Crust scenes of the earlier part of this century, their upcoming 12″ LP „Gewalt“ is a blistering echo from those days, fast and unrelenting this record speaks up against patriarchal violence and abusive relationships. Formed by ache and anger, MALATESTA is cutting through and fighting back. The four new songs were recorded in the Tonmeisterei Oldenburg, Germany in november 2024, four impressive songs full of power, pissed off, aggressive and ready for resistance.
Three different versions of this One-Sided 12″ are / will be available:
# the ultra limited (approved) Test Pressing edition on Black vinyl limited to twenty hand-numbered copies, this special version comes with plain B/W test pressing cover delivered by the pressing plant and an extra double-sided B/W fold-out cover
# the Standard edition on Black vinyl limited to 200 copies, the album will be housed in a LP pocket cover (3 mm spine, printed on reverse cardboard) and will come with a double-sided B/W lyric, info insert
# the Die Hard edition on Crystal Clear vinyl limited to 100 copies, the album will be housed in a LP pocket cover (3 mm spine, printed on reverse cardboard) and will come with a double-sided B/W lyric, info insert (SOLD HERE)
