NEUROOT / FRATRICIDE – Split LP (Die Hard # 1) PRE-ORDER

The endless waiting time of forty years is finally over, four long decades after it´s original planned release this masterpiece of Eighties Hardcore finally sees the light of day. In the year 1986 the legendary US label PUSMORT, run by PUSHEAD himself, a very well-known artist and singer of SEPTIC DEATH, only managed to release a bunch of test pressings (PUSMORT 0012 – 12) but never did a regular pressing, the originally planned UK labels for this re-issue saddly failed too, so it is the job of the not so well-known THREAT FROM THE PAST from Germany to finish this „project“. Paul Stone from the UK had the idea to finally „re-release“ this masterpiece of Eighties Hardcore, he got in touch with the bands / labels, rearranged, restored all artwork, did all graphics for the pressing plant and with some help from Steve Hoggart (as well from the UK) who restored, remastered the songs, he managed to upgrade this release to new levels and to get the best possible result. In the included booklet you can read about the original PUSMORT „drama“, how the plan of a re-issue was born and some parts of the story before THREAT FROM THE PAST (from Germany) and NEON TASTE RECORDS from Canada (who will do a separate canadian pressing) finally rescued this split LP from dying before birth again.

Enough talking about the making let´s talk about the music and the bands:

NEUROOT from Arnhem, The Netherlands contributes six fast, aggressive and crushing Hardcore songs to this split release, four of them already appeared on the legendary „Right Is Might“ 7″ EP (from 1986), next to other famous dutch acts like B.G.K., NO PIGS, LÄRM, … NEUROOT were part of the Early, Mid Eighties Hardcore, Punk scene of this country.

FRATRICIDE from Vancouver, BC, Canada were a short-living Crossover, Hardcore band, active only from the years 1986 – 1988, on their side of this split output you find seven fast, more metallic Hardcore, Crossover tunes, sometimes reminding of the great US band THE ACCÜSED, fast, relentless, unstoppable and as crushing as the material from their split partner.

In the year 1986 PUSMORT, USA did the original test pressing version in a very limited edition, saddly they never finished this „project“ with a normal pressing.

Four different versions of this european pressing are / will be available:
# the ultra limited (approved) Test Pressing edition on Black vinyl limited to twenty-five hand-numbered copies, this special version comes with plain b/w test pressing cover delivered by the pressing plant and a special double-sided B/W fold-out cover with artwork only used for this version (SOLD OUT)
# the Standard edition on Black vinyl limited to 300 copies, the album will be housed in a LP pocket cover (3 mm spine) with inside-out print, an eight-paged B/W booklet in LP size and an extra double sided B/W insert will be included
