OMEN – The Curse LP (Bloodred)

One of the most well-known Power Metal, True Metal bands coming for The United States is the band OMEN, formed in Los Angeles, California in the year 1983, the band became one of the most influental bands of this genre. From their debut album „Battle Cry“ (1984), to „Warning Of Danger“ (1985) and finally to their third output „The Curse“ (1986) the band improved from release to release, OMEN´s early material is consistently excellent, with a relentless manic energy, seamless guitar harmonies and a superior performance from vocalist J.D. Kimball, but within time their sound improved a lot, more variety was introduced and progressive parts were included. OMEN was a unique band for their time, in the Early, Mid Eighties they didn´t go the easy way and changed their style into popular fast and brutal Thrash Metal, Speed Metal and continued playing „their way of Metal“, this was and is honoured by the love of their countless fans and followers, the band OMEN is the perfect proof that Metal doesn´t have to be angry and evil all the time.

OMEN´s strike number three is called „The Curse“ and originally was released on METAL BLADE RECORDS, USA in the year 1986.
