This band has always been enigmatic, at one time producing a Black Metal album, then going on a more doomier path like on this album here. „Spirit The Earth Aflame“ is a very intelligent album, intelligent isn´t a word often associated with Extreme Metal but this album oozes of it. PRIMORDIAL consists of serious musicians, that are very professional and trying to put out over-the-top sound. „Spirit The Earth Aflame“ is vaguely progressive with top notch songwriting and very intelligent lyrics. PRIMORDIAL create music with true importance to our age, they make music that speaks to any who are of the ancient spirit, who despise this modern world which destroys and consumes. This album is essential for every fan of Pagan Metal, Black Metal that also like some more quiet and not that brutal tunes.
 
The first pressing of this LP was done in the year 2000 on HAMMERHEART RECORDS from The Netherlands.

Official re-issue: limited edition of 200 hand-numbered copies on Wine – Red / Black Marbled vinyl, all songs got remastered for vinyl and a double-sided poster is included too.
