"The Wretched Spawn" is the nineth studio album by the american Death Metal band CANNIBAL CORPSE, this is the last studio album to feature Jack Owen, one of the band´s founding members, and up to the album "Torture" (2012), the last with an album cover depicting violence and gore. The original album was distributed with a making of DVD produced by Nick Sahakian. "The Wretched Spawn" is CANNIBAL CORPSE´s fourth album to be named after one of the tracks on the album, after "Butchered At Birth", "The Bleeding" and "Gallery Of Suicide". The thirteen songs were recorded october, november 2003 at Sonic Ranch El Paso, Texas (of course USA) and they deliver what every CANNIBAL CORPSE fan needs: relentless, technical Old School Grindcore, Death Metal, from brutal mid-tempo parts to high speed neckbreakers.
In the year 2004 METAL BLADE RECORDS already did the original pressing of this album.
