CIRITH UNGOL from the United States are an obscure and legendary Heavy Metal, Doom Metal band that started the Early Seventies and was active till the Early Nineties (don´t want to talk about their reunion here). After putting out the album „Frost And Fire“ in 1981 the band got a lot of attention in the Underground Metal scene, for that time their stuff was very heavy and brutal and attracted a lot of fans. The sound of CIRITH UNGOL was and still is very obscure and unique, maybe one reason for the quite big fanbase.
The „40th Anniversary Edition“ comes with the original mix (remastered from the original tapes) and remix done in the year 2021.
Culled from the CIRITH UNGOL´s private archives, a special limited-edition hardbound fifty paged artbook is available too – packed with rare photos, flyers and memorabilia, as well as detailed liner notes and essays by the band. This artbook will be packaged with four CD´s and two LP´s (including all material from the regular editions, plus two additional CD´s containing fourteen demos of the album tracks and bonus content – interview, radio drops, answering machine tapes, phone calls).
„Frost And Fire“ is the debut album of the band CIRITH UNGOL and was released in the year 1981 on LIQUID FLAMES RECORDS from the USA.
Limited of 2000 copies, one LP is on Frost Blue vinyl, the other one on Orange Fire vinyl, next to the six additional CD´s this special artbook edition comes with poster, autographed photocard and download card.
