Four years after „Death Is Not Dead“ the swedish kings of melodic Death Metal, Thrash Metal are back with their new album called „Cobra Speed Venom“. The band is active for over twenty-seven years now and with their tenth album they unleash ten new songs in their typical Old School Thrash-centric brand of Death Metal, harsh Thrash Metal with a few hints of melodic Death Metal. Think AT THE GATES, early SEPULTURA and SLAYER thrown into a blender and you´ll get a taste of the speed and aggression to be found. Dilute it with a little water, as their songwriting isn´t to the same standard as those aforementioned legends and you have a pretty good idea for what THE CROWN sound like. „Cobra Speed Venom“ saddly is not as strong as their previous releases but the bands still knows to deliver aggressive music with strong riffing and a lot of power.
